Navigation using keyboard |
In addition to numerous keyboard shortcuts (see Mouse and Keyboard Shortcuts in the manual) new interface tools have been added to facilitate navigation using keyboard. In Windows 7 and later, clicking Alt key will display all the main menus, drop-down menus and entries in dialogs with underlined characters, e.g. Materials. Clicking the underlined character on the keyboard, will move the cursor to the selected menu or dialog box. You can make the underlined shortcuts always visible via the Windows Control Panel’s “Make the Keyboard Easier to Use” section.). |

Faster solutions on 64-bit computers |
If your computer uses a 64-bit CPU with a 64-bit operating system, for example, Intel Core i5 CPU with Microsoft Windows 7 64 bit operating system, you should use 64-bit solver to speed up your computations. To select the 64-bit solver, click the down arrow next to the GO button and select Solver x64.

Overheated components at a glance |
Often electronic components have a manufacturer-specified maximum, not to exceed, temperature, Tmax. You can now specify that temperature for every component. If the calculated temperature exceeds Tmax, such components are displayed in CoolPlot as burned – painted using orange-black texture. A quick look at the computed model is all you need to identify all such components. |
