Recently, Honeywell selected Daat
to help design a ????. The finished model
ended up having well over 5,000 objects. "We knew it was
going to be a big task, and we needed some answers in
a hurry," said Honeywell's project
engineer. "Daat put together
an accurate model in the timeframe we needed and for
a good price. We're very
pleased."
Recently, Honeywell selected Daat to

How to
get the most out of OptimizeIt's parametric
studies
|
|
A good way to savecomputation time on
your parametric studies is to run your models with a
coarser grid. By running a
coarser grid, your results will be less accurate, but
comparatively, they will still be valid. That isto say,
eveneven if your
simulation has a 20% error, all the cases in your
study will be consistent in their ininaccuraciesy, and thus relevant
in comparison to one another. Once you have
identified the best case, you can refine the grid for
that model and restart it.

How to
change the default gGrid
|
|
OptimizeIt needs to create grids for different
caseswith different
geometries. In order to ensure
a meaningful comparison of computed results, the
grids must be “consistent”, i.e.
must be generated according to the same rules in each
case.
This is ensured by using thee
ofthe default
gridin OptimizeIt.
While the default grid cannot be
customized to the level of placing individual grid
lines, you can still control it a great
deal.
To customize the default
grid, Eenter grid mode, and from
the Control Bar open the Grid Settings
dialog.
On the Cells Distribution page, adjust the grid to
your satisfaction by using the slider controls and
Apply button. The result is the
new Default grid, which will be used in all
OptimizeItI cases.
